The Flash Tamper features a unique 3-spring design that guarantees a constant pressure of 30 pounds and provides audio feedback to indicate whether sufficient pressure has been built up.
At a pressure of 30 pounds, a distinct "click" is heard, signaling that the optimal pressure has been reached. Once the pressure is reached, the mechanism automatically resets. The Flash Tamper is only compatible with 58 mm portafilters.
